10Y Yield

In plain English

The 10-year Treasury yield is the long-term nominal risk-free rate that shows up in mortgages, company valuations, and “what else could I earn?” stories.

Rising 10-year yields are tighter for long-duration assets (housing, growth stocks, bitcoin as a long-duration analog). Falling yields are easier. Pair with Real Yield to separate inflation from the real hurdle.
